Finally got the forms I need to fill out for a potential SSI benefit. Spent the last hour filling them out with my Dad. Here's hoping that the state of Illinois agrees that a combination of an ASD and praeternaturally fucked circadian rhythms (I talked far more about the latter than the former when filling it out) is a good enough reason to the SSA to consider me disabled.

Setting up the new server motherboard that I bought. It boots to POST, which is basically all that I need for now. I need to order a Xeon processor before I can complete testing. Tomorrow.

The ffa guys let Lahni-do drive a jds3..she ran over all of their shit (proud papa! - overcome those field obstacles hooah!). I bout gave the guy a heart attack when he rung me up. I was like " girl doesn't have a permit for a reason, are you insane...? I'll pay for nothing!"....I let that hang for about thirty seconds before I started laughing (but also....girl doesn't have a permit for a reason.....) I asked, why did you let her operate? - they say she said she did it all the time and they thought about it for a minute and were like "....yeah, that tracks..."....and I'm like "Yeah...sitting in my lap.....". Anyhoo, theyre just lucky that there weren't utility lines to dig up. Best believe my girl could have found those on accident, too. Now they're stuck. She expects to get the operate the equipment.

In other news, she's picked a gorgeous white med dress for her first homecoming. The swine wont appreciate it. And Also an enchanting gemstone butterfly broach to go with her clip on earrings. Mommy's stepping in to do makeup. Freshman Farmclub Queen..ya heard?

Getting stuff done...longer than usual workday today due to a special project. Off to a middle school football game in a couple hours...envy me.

Not even going to watch football but rather to sit in the sun and wait for the 90 second drill team routine the bonus granddaughter will perform in.

Might see my son, live and in person, that doesn't happen often.

Friday I am going to the high school game mostly to see my granddaughter perform with the band at halftime. At least, finally, the football team seems to have figured out how to win some games. It's a relatively new school and it's taken a while to get football up and running.

A lot of us have days like this...sometimes neverendingly so, it seems.  Take a breath.  Get some rest and try again.

Even on my worst days I no longer crave alcohol. I'm thinking I drank a little longer into adulthood than most because I never touched the stuff until I was nearly twenty-two. Getting it out of my system, as a result of a late start, took longer.

Private, like people are saying, please take a deep breath. You're a beautiful person and professionally accomplished. Give it a little time. I've had plenty of dark days myself.

Roy- I didn't really start drinking until I was 20, and in the Navy. Don't drink all the time, and have gone years without. But I still drink, at the age of 69.
