Researching the best VPNs for streaming services and figuring out how to connect my new router to my VPN. I found out in hindsight that the VPN that I signed up for is not very strong for streaming.

We got a book about forensics from the mail yesterday. We did not order said book about forensics. In fact, the person who ordered it lived in Oakland, over 2000 miles from my home. And before you ask how we knew it was a book about forensics, well, apparently, the packaging was already open by the time it made it to my door. Somebody really shit the bed there. I hope that the opal I ordered last week gets better treatment than this.

Been back in the states for about a month, the adventure with my spine continues to amuse.

My wife fell very ill while we were camping early this month. She had been having intermittent stomach pain for about a year, she kept putting off seeing a doc about it. We were camping over the 4th of July weekend, she fell ill on Saturday with constant abdominal pain and decided to tough it out. Finally, on Tuesday morning she agreed to go the ER. Good thing we did, her small intestine was strangled from scar tissue from a prior surgery. Her recovery has been slower than we anticipated. She's going to be OK but it has been quite the scare.

It's not supposed to in triple digits today...only in the 90s. Getting ready to do some doggy grooming that's past due. Had to wait till we wouldn't pass out from the heat in the garage. Zig will probably lose five pounds of fur. Going to give a try to trimming up the puppy but we'll see how that goes. She has the Grinch feet and they need to be trimmed up.

Ugh. "Only." It's supposed to be in the 90s next week. I have to donate plasma Tuesday, otherwise I'll stay indoors.

Scanning another hard disk. I've got two Dell H310 HBAs, but they're not flashed to the same firmware. Unfortunately, I'm new to this stuff, so I don't know from the banner each displays which has what firmware. I need to flash them to the correct firmware, if only I can figure out what that is.
