Nah, had a two day "off-site" that had to be at the Corp HQ for reasons that were never very clear to me. The whole thing was exhausting and could have been done remotely.

Considering what I'm going to eat for dinner. Wife is making a bean soup with a pound of boiled bacon in it. I don't eat the amount of bacon presented in that soup in weeks. Probably surely will eat something else.

Tried to order a book from the same vendor that I used to get my leather-bound copy of American Psycho. In the intervening year plus since then, however, something in the site just broke. I tried to use Paypal to pay for it, but it refused to allow Paypal to do anything. And in my confusion as to what the fuck was going on, I ordered the same thing twice. And when I try to cancel one of the orders, it also won't let me do that.

And to give some context, here’s what happens when I try to use PayPal on the site. It seems to work fine elsewhere.



And when I try to request any action on the orders, I get immediately directed to this screen:



Edit: evidently I can actually pay with my normal credit card. So, I think I've just paid for one of the orders.

Sacrilege! You should only have boiled bacon with, cabbage*, spuds (with real butter) and parsely sause.

*Turnip will substitute in a pinch.
