Buying stuff I don't need. Woot was selling Windows 11 Pro licenses for $20. Key sellers are charging $30 for grey market keys. I need a license for both current and future needs.

Getting packed for a trip out of town and getting the laptop updated. Three reboots, so far. I haven't used it in a couple of years since I got the all-in-one. I wish I had thought of just putting a usb keyboard on it.  Eh, whatever.

Just basically repacked what I can get ready now. Decided to use a different bag for my laptop and work stuff. Hopefully the rest of the plan will work out.

Tomorrow evening I will put some things in the back of my car so that all I will have left is my laptop, toiletries, and small cooler...pillow and quilt just in case.

I keep going back to the maps and studying them.

Since I wake up very early most days, the plan is to leave while everyone else is still asleep and not on the roads.

I had procrastinated doing my mandatory scuba medical. Apparently they added an "are you over 45" question to the self assessment, an affirmative answer requires a physical exam.

Finally did it this morning and now I'm starting the coursework (no point it putting up the $ if the medical barred me).

Adjusting to my new glasses. Not sure that the new prescription is making things as crisp as I would like them to be. But I do like both pair of frames I selected.

I've found that on the first attempt they rarely get mine right and I have to go in for a second test and new lens(es).

If it were me I'd take the old pair on the trip also. New glasses typically cause me some eye strain during the adjustment period.

Had a bad salad for dinner yesterday. Been up in agony since 2:00 am. Gonna be a day.

Spent the last hour or two filing down the saddle on the bridge of my Blood Ukulele so the action isn't extremely high.



So far, I've shaved 1.3 mm off the height.

We have a friend here in the same boat as Nanny. It's always the salad it seems.
