Heading to sushi, while we were waiting at an intersection, a guy in an electric scooter went through the intersection towing a mini trailer with a unicorn-headed mannequin wearing a dress. Dudes doing his part at keeping Portland weird.
Watching baseball. My family is celebrating my birthday and my brother-in-law's birthday tonight.
Thank you, but our birthdays were in March. We just haven't been able to get everybody together until now.
Spent the day cutting and organizing fabric...something I haven't done since before my trip.
Husband installed a new toilet in the downstairs bathroom....along with being quite old (the toilet, not the husband) it was developing leaks. So part of the day was a deep cleaning of that bathroom.
Spent the day walking around downtown Portland, then we unintentionally got into a cruise-in in Vancouver.
Portland has been rough the past few years but the difference from last year was startling to me. It would be quite the commute from Oregon. Rough in what way? I ask because I was born there, but I've never actually experienced the place.

No, Portland Oregon. I lived there most of my life, our home in the USA is in across the river in Vancouver. Between the pandemic, the demonstrations in 2020, and the increase in homelessness, Portland had seen better days. It was really disgraceful. Portland, Maine is fine. I checked, I was there in March. I had assumed you were referring to the city in Canada.
