Trying not to swear too much. Last night our main software company implemented an "upgrade" and as usual it screwed the whole system up.

I have had two weeks of technical issues and this is sort of the last straw for my patience.

Got a message saying that my disability claim will require a special examination.

Fortunately, they scheduled a mental exam for a week before Christmas.

Also, just went through with my Election Day ritual and placed by DVD copy of Minority Report in the garage again.

Then, after 12 years of not having it in my home, I bought it from Half-Price Books. Shortly after, Trump won. In 2020, I got the idea of leaving it in the garage until the results were clear. That year, Biden won. I didn't try it in the midterms in 2018, but, at this point, even if I know there's no real causal relationship between my keeping a DVD of a specific Tom Cruise film in my home and the way the elections go, the threat to our democracy is too great for me to take any chances.

And it stays until they officially declare the election.

Surprise, surprise...the dogs woke me up at what is now 3 am. It's gonna be a long couple of weeks till they get used to the time change.
