Looks like I'll be starting the new gig mid month. Imma grow nine million trees this year for my earth day goals.

Waiting for The Bail to show up with the boyfriend of one year. I guess now I have to make good on my promise to make a quilt for him...I had said he had to be part of the family for a year.
Found out that The Bail is not a Sophomore in college. With the dual credit courses she took in high school and the heavy courseload she has been taking, she is considered to be a Junior. Guess there will be a college graduation on the schedule for next summer (2026). Then she hopes to go to Austin to get her masters degree.

Just got back from UPS. I ordered two shirts for husband for work. Package delivered today contained...not two shirts, but two cordless drill battery packs and some spools of wire.
Yeah, that's not gonna work.
I have had some minor hiccups with Amazon orders but nothing quite like this.

A mate of mine once ordered a laptop. He got a portable cooktop.
Both useful items, but hardly interchangeable.

Found a iPhone 14 in the bay this morning. Someone apparently oopsied it over the side, probably a few weeks ago. Scraped off the barnacles, now it's in a fresh water bath. Later I'll put it in rice and see I can resuscitate it.
E: I checked, it's rated for 6 meters / 30 minutes of fresh water. I don't have high hopes.

The best upgrade I ever got was when I ordered a cheapodelux plastic 25’ garden hose and got a 75’ stainless steel one. I thought about sending it back, but I reckoned whoever got my cheap hose would either send that one back or get a refund. Everybody wins.

Barre chords. The bane of my old man hands. After learning the so-called "cowboy chords" (A, C, D, E, G, Am, Dm, Em) i hit a plateau, and had some contentment in the array of songs available to me. Finding that "Rocky Mountain High" requires barre chords, specifically B, F#, F#m, and F#m7, has pushed me to learn these chord shapes and practice them (among others, as long as I'm at it) until I can play songs using them. I can not yet switch to and from barre chords quickly enough, but 4 months ago I could't switch between A, D, and E quickly enough to play Marley's "Three Little Birds."
