That really sucks. I had foot surgery for an arthritic toe joint in '04 (age 52), with 4 more as time went on. I've got it in varying degrees everywhere else. I've been reading of some method for causing the cartilage to grow back, but it's in its infancy- experimental. Maybe it'll come available in time for you (and me) to regenerate.

I'm going to check with a doc in Mexico. They're doing magic with stem cells that's not approved in the USA because, well, stem cells are bad, m'kay. So far the worst of it is in my thumbs. I have a good laugh when my wife hands me a jar (to try) to open.

Sorry, one of those Brit words. "Oof" being money, "Oofy" meaning lots, i.e., expensive. I though it was used in the Antipodes, too.
