Since Trump has apparently been given a Nobel Peace Prize medal, I've decided I may as well look and see if there's something online I can get. The closest version I can find is a copy of Francis Crick's 1962 Medicine Prize.

Edit: Can't find anything better than the Crick copies. Bought two from Aliexpress for less than $10. SO now, both my Dad and I will have one. I considered buying one for Alison, but I figured that giving one to a dakimakura was just pushing it.

Browsing graphics cards. I considered running an emulator on XBOX hardware, but maybe a small PC would be smarter. I could run Steam on my 65" big screen. The big question mark is how much horsepower I need to drive a 4K display. I haven't followed the developments in upscaling and AI assisted rendering, so I don't know whether AMD or Nvidia has a preference. A 9070 XT is about $600. I think a 5070-ti would have better overall fit, but I'm not seeing any on Amazon.

Best Buy has 5070-ti's at $750 or so. I get financing through Best Buy, so if Amazon isn't carrying any when it's time to buy, this is an option.

Adding a second exercise set to my daily routine. I've got a couple of dozen videos taken from YouTube to choose from. Today was a HIIT routine from Hasfit. It seemed decent.

Vacuum-sealing some frozen chicken breasts. They had gotten stuck together so I ran them under water and then individually bagged them. I thought my little sealer had died, but I just wasn't using it right.

Watching football and browsing PC parts. Estimating how much a gaming PC for my big screen TV would be. I have a birthday in three months. I'll evaluate my budget then.

Well, that disappeared fast. They had a 16 GB Crucial DDR5 kit for under $150. A few hours later, gone. I guess I'll plan on $200.

Working on upgrading my storage network. I ordered some 10 gigabit tranceivers which I mistakenly thought were for copper wiring but they're for fiber. The price should have clued me in, they were half the price of the ones I need but as it turns out it's actually cheaper to just run OM3 fiber instead.

(Cheaper, until the upgrade cascade kicks in, that is.)

If you haven't heard, DRAM prices are going to be high for at least 1-2 years (Realistically I think it's closer to forever).

My Ship-of-Theseus NAS has a 12 year old motherboard that I'd like to replace before it eventually dies (I also hate throwing out a working Xeon motherboard/ram/cpu, even though it probably uses enough electricity to justify the replacement cost. I think i just talked myself into it.
