I went and spent a buttload of money at Menard's.  I try to avoid that, but it being my birthday this month, I indulged.  I treated myself to some early b-day presents: a pair of mini needle-nose pliers and a #1 Phillips-head screwdriver.

Winding down. Just got back from my second visit to the NICU today. Little boy will probably be in there a couple more days but he is already tired of the tubes and wires.

He figured out how to rub his face on the mattress to get the air tube out of his nose and then when laying on his back he reached up and pulled it out with his little hand. He has also managed to dislodge the feeding tube more than once.

Saw my son change the first diaper he has ever changed in his life; as well as being shown by the nurse how to take an underarm temperature on the baby.

Debating whether to spend $280 on a larger SSD for my XBOX. I don't really need it, but the price is only going to increase over the next two years. On the plus side, it would free up the 4 TB SSD I'm using for backup storage to be used in the new PC.

ETA: Target hasn't raised its price yet, but Amazon has, and I get a 5% discount with my Target card. The only drawback is delivery. Amazon would be safe from package thieves, but Target is not.

I’m trying to come up with a better way to cast pewter. I’ll probably wind up investing in an electric mini-crucible.

The trouble is that the melting point is so low that it starts to re-solidify during the pour, which makes for a shitty casting.

Just got back from the hospital. Baby is still in the NICU though will probably get out this weekend.

So far, he has pulled the oxygen tube from his nose enough times that they gave up. Today he pulled his feeding tube out for what the nurses decided was the last time so that was one more thing removed. His IV was later removed and while I was there, he managed to get his ID bracelet off his wrist. This little twerp is determined to leave the hospital behind!

Sounds like my eldest. He got sick and spent some time in the hospital. They taped something stiff to his arm and attached the IV to it, to keep him from pulling it out. Squirmy-wormy!
