What's everyone up to right now?

Locating an 8 TB hard drive that I thought I had lost. I spent the last hour looking high and low for it. It was hiding under some papers that I had judged weren't covering up a hard disk. It turns out they were. I had an epiphany earlier about how to configure my computer storage. I'll need at least one more 8 TB disk, or I can cannibalize one of the 8 TB externals that I have. I'm strapped for cash right now, but I'll start scouring ebay for a deal.

Installing the new SSDs into the gaming PC. I'm waiting on a system drive that is expected to arrive Monday, but I got the other two SSDs installed. I'm glad that I learned how to use DISKPART recently. Without it, I'm not sure how one cleans or reinitializes a disk that's previously been used as a Windows system drive. I had a momentary setback when the games on the 4 TB SSD weren't showing up in Steam. Strangely, the root folder name on the new system was different than the name I was copying things from. A quick rename and things were right as rain.

Looking into the differences between the PC and XBOX ports of Atelier Yumia. I want the Ultimate Edition, but they want about double the price for the XBOX version.

Morning pills, baseball, and a cup of tea. Mulling over whether to upgrade my router before the ban on foreign made routers takes effect.

Futzing with the QoS settings on my router. I think it's doing what I want now, but it's hard to tell.

I piled a motherboard that I hadn't touched in two years into a test frame and it booted up first try. Unfortunately, upon booting, I discovered that an i3-3220 was installed instead of the Xeon that I was expecting. Fortunately, I still had a Xeon that I'd purchased in anticipation of this a couple of years ago. I hadn't even opened the package it came in. Unfortunately, my skills are pretty rusty, and "I'll figure it out as I go along" didn't go very far concerning removing and reinstalling the heatsink. A few Youtube videos later, and I think I've got it installed correctly. It boots, if that means anything.

Waddled down to the river with my son, caught a big rainbow trout on the fall of my first cast. Proclaimed myself the still undefeated champ of fishing, talked him into cleaning and grilled it.

Ordering some new screwdrivers. I found a good deal on a set of ten. The magnetic tip on one of my #2 Phillips screwdrivers has given up.

Watching football and browsing Alder Lake / Raptor Lake motherboards. My i7-9700K has held up pretty well, all things considered.
