Just got back from spending the day with Shell. Feeling down now I'm not with her, but also buzzing because she's coming over the flat tomorrow to spend time with me. We'd gone into Birmingham to pick up the pics from a photoshoot she did a few weels ago, which I sat in and watched. The photos are amazing and hopefully they'll lead into more photo work.
Anyway, on the way back we were both gasping for a drink, so we popped into Revolutions, a Russian bar. You can tell it's Russian from the red stars and the backwards E in the name. Also the toilets are behind the curtain (I'm not even joking). While we were drinking - a Long Island Iced Tea for me and a house version of J2O for Shell - I made a paper rose from a napkin, as a love token for her. I've made them before and she loves them. As I was making it, she said that the barman was watching me. Then he came up and asked if we'd ever been in there before, because the staff had found one of these roses on a table and had no idea who made it. It certainly wasn't me; mine has an extra detail of a side leaf on the stem, which this rogue flower hadn't.
Then the barman asked me to show him how to make one. I did, and he was so pleased with it that he took it to show his manager. He came up and watched while the barman made another one, with my instruction. They were just amazed by it. In the end the barman gave me a VIP card as a reward, something you normally have to pay for. We were both speechless; we never expected anything like that to happen.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I think the toothache that visits occasionally has come to stay.
Typical, it's fucking Saturday morning and I got to wait til Monday to see a Dentist.
By then I shall be in a straight jacket for sure.
The goddess of cloves will only bless me for so long.

Pity it's more Groundhog Day and far, far less Color Climax. In fact zero.
Sorry about your toothache; I really feel that pain. I remember one time when it turned out I needed root canal work. I couldn't even lie down without my jaw feeling like it was going to burst. The only relief I could find was swilling cold water around my mouth. Of course, my mouth didn't stay cold for long...
