I would now posit a new theory. Given the data, it appears that ignorance generates stupidity. seems legit to me

Sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain
'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House “Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom "If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech
Premise: Abiogenesis is incomplete.
Therefore: It must have been god. Beautifull, a pig wearing the finest robes... fuck me... Doesn't matter. General handwaving in the direction of textbooks in general is more than enough to substantiate his assertion. For the credulous and the already convinced, anyway. That's the grist to the creationist rumour mill.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Abiogenesis is of peripheral relevance to evolution at best, because we know evolution is reality. Whether or not abiogenesis is, won't change that. Just because abiogenesis has not been confirmed doesn't mean we should put a chapter on "magical deity snapped supernatural fingers and stuff lived" as a placeholder. RE: Can raw energy create Order

There's no such thing as 'raw energy'.

Practically every mathematics textbook I've ever owned had a few small chapters on formal logic, but they are not one and the same. Go be stupid in another thread. :l
Some might say he does.

Really...I mean it. I know I am late to the party concerning this bit of stupidity, but I just can't help myself anyway. Hell, I didn't get too much sleep last night, so I need an easy target today. Evolution does NOT explain the origins of life, only the diversity of life once it already exists. It's not natures fault that abiogenesis is a more rational hypothesis than your pet god idea. Everything within our current understanding of chemistry points to the probability that life began from nonliving organic molecules. Scientists from the Scripps Institute created self replicating RNA enzymes, that evolve, several years ago. It was done again in Cambridge in the UK. Self replicating RNA enzymes were the precursors to RNA, which is the precursor to DNA. So, it would seem science produced actual evidence for abiogenesis. Still waiting for same for your god..... You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. |
