The word 'apologist' should only be applied to those who are actually apologetic for all the shit religions cause. A promise to disband as restitution would also be nice. 'Retard logicians' seems a more apt moniker for these shitballs overall.

Sorry...this is something that has captured my imagination as of late.

Personally, i'm an atheist because all the other religions would have me. With that low a standard, they are obviously flawed. ('Apologies' to Groucho Marx...)

Interesting find, thanks for sharing. As to the question, I am an atheist for basically the same reason an object at rest (relative to its frame of reference) stays where it is until an outside force acts on it. It is the default position and so far there has been no compelling reason for me to consider changing that. More simply, the theist hypothesis has fallen far, far short of meeting its burden of proof.
