Why atheism always has a burden of proof
RE: Why atheism always has a burden of proof
You can't prove the non-existence of God though you can't prove the existence of God scientifically like that as he isn't physically detectable in any form. No-one has a burden of proof only a belief either way.

The problem is, they believe god exists, and then they claim he does. Thats why theists have a burden of proof (Theists who claim a god exists anyway)

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

How would you prove Gods existence through the scientific method? There isn't anything physically there to study.

There's a reason there's nothing to detect.

The reason being he isn't a physically created thing within the universe he made the universe and all the things we can see and detect to begin with.

Does he interact with the physical universe in any way at all?

Of course, look around you at the rest of humanity and within yourself.

Then we can test the effects, and demonstrate his existence with science, because things that interact with the physical world are within the bounds of scientific investigation.

If "creating stuff" is what god does, then why did he quit? We could detect new stuff being created even if we couldn't detect the creator. If a new planet popped up in our solar system tomorrow we'd know something is up! But alas, god had to stop creating things too, just like he had to hide all the evidence of the jewish exodus, the garden of eden, the tower of Babel, the trees of life and knowledge, the arc of the covenant, and the magic bones of the prophets, just so us sciency intellectuals don't have a reason to believe he exists.

Yes to a certain extent but it's limited to observation of physically detectable matter/energy.

We can observe that people do enter into a physically observable spiritual state but of course we can't prove God is the source of the cause. Because we can't observe God.

I'm not disagreeing with you but the point still stands that you can see, detect or "prove" God.
