Don't tell me the xtian god isn't alleged to have omni powers of description.

He's so bad at describing you have to have trained professionals rewrite it completely for you before it makes any fucking sense.

Sorry, "interpret". Interpret it for you.

He couldn't describe his way out of a wet paper bag filled with easily describable graffiti all over its inside.

Although it sure sounds like the writer was describing how the sky was really a dome stretched over a flat disc, indicating some very wrong beliefs about how big his universe was, and how it was constructed.
The Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) completed it's full analysis, 12/20/2012. Determined the universe's shape is flat ("nailed down the curvature of space to within 0.4% of "flat" Euclidean.") which would be 'disk' shaped.

You really need to put down that bible and study some real science.  By flat, they do not mean like a pancake, but rather space-time is not curving back on itself.  It has nothing to do with the shape of the universe.  Also, all we can 'see' is what EM radiation has reached us up to this time.  We will probably never know how large the universe is and it may very well be infinite in size.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

Nice try but doesn't fly. Geometry of the universe is within 3 decimal + or - flat.

You replied to me defining what a prophecy is, by giving an example of something that isn't a prophecy?

Just going to ignore this question snowy? Smile

The Biblical writer is referring to the Earth as a flat disc, not the universe.  My point being that as far as that writer was concerned, the Earth was the universe.  Your hilarious mis-interpretation regarding the geometry of the universe doesn't even have to be considered, thankfully.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Do you even understand what the phrase "curvature of space" means.

Quote:Anisotropy is the property of being directionally dependent, as opposed to isotropy, which implies identical properties in all directions.
(bold mine)

The universe has been determined to be predominately isotropic (the opposite of being anisotropic). This is 'flat' in a special sense, not like a disk.

Lol, geometric flatness doesn't mean that it is disk shaped. If you want I can explain it to you.
