Actually, Action is not a force. Action is an imprecise concept that could broadly mean something like momentum, or energy. Gravity does not cause a force, gravity is a force.

He's too busy posturing over imagined victories to do that.

Chuck's conclusion remains valid, though.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

hmm.... physics nitpicking.
The thing that exerts the force is the mass of an object bending spacetime and causing objects with mass to fall towards each other. The Force that we call gravity is simply the mass of the object times the acceleration that the objects of mass move towards each other. RE: Where did the universe come from? And none of it would work without the Higgs particle - please don't call it the God particle, especially on this forum.....
