Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.

I personally don't think its possible to have all the answers. But I love to watch this never-ending search unfold. Before mankind off's themselves lol

...and there's nothing in the page linked which even mentions that claim.

So what gives?

There -are- numbers on bee populations by gender as both specific examples and averages, of course. You're going to have a hard time getting the numbers you made claim to.

They are the ones doing the study on Bees, so if they say the ratio of female bees divided by male bees, in any given hive equals the golden ratio, how can I dispute it without counting for myself?

I don't think the George Washington University has a vested interest in the subject.

Katherine Berry wrote the article, not GWU. It's a citationless, numberless claim that deadlinks.......it doesn't even matter whether or not it's true at this point (it isn't....and you're just going to take my word for that..right?)

Conformation Bias. Claims that support a belief are assumed to be true.

And no, the ratios of female to male bees listed on the chart on the original link are not as claimed.

Males Female Ratio
1 2 2.000
2 3 1.500
3 5 1.667
5 8 1.600
8 13 1.625
Golden Ratio 1.618

The claim seems to be referring to the ratio as a hive demographic.
(not that this makes it any more true....just tossing that out there)

You misunderstand, were not talking about the sequence of the bees parentage, were talking about the actual number of male bees divided by the number of female bees.

On which count the claim is also false. Do just a little bit of math for me....take the ratio, any number, say, 100: how many males would there be, and how many females?

(and I'm still wondering why you would repeat this claim.....)

The chart I listed shows the results of dividing the number of male bees by the number of female bees listed on the chart in the link you provided. For example 2/1=2 and 13/8=1.625. Neither of which is equal to the golden ration of 1.618.

When someone claims a mathematical formula in support of a claim it usually helps if the math supports the claim. In this case it does not.

Thats the trouble Pop - the claim in question is an -additional claim- regarding some other metric which deadlinks. It's smuggled into the bottom of the text beneath that chart almost as an afterthought. Has nothing to do with the chart (or reality...but we're getting there).

Oh and lastly, the big bang in NOT a f*ckin explosion. Maybe the scientists should really change that term.

"a timeless being, who popped out of nothing" - not true of Christian doctrine. God has always existed, that's what 'eternal' means. God is not control or ushered along with the comic timeline; and has access to other timelines or it's equivalents.
Atheist Credo: A universe by chance that also just happened to admit the observer by chance.
