Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
RE: Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
But who cares if you're not a christian?  "Lord God Jesus King of Jews" probably sounds nice to someone, as a term for -whatever- process or event "created" all of this.

That's how you chose your term for it, so they can do the same, surely?

Mighty and righteous......sure.....sure, because those terms are applicable......look, we all get to call it whatever we want, and we all get to say that your description of it is wrong based upon whatever we want to call it. I say it;s tuna, and because tuna isn't mighty, or righteous, you're wrong, because tuna isn't god....you're wrong. It is discomforting to me, to see someone turn language into something non-communicative. It's the only purpose of the tool, and to see that a person can tie it into such a knot that it can no longer achieve that purpose is , on the one hand, impressive.........but it doesn't leave us any room to continue. I can't communicate with you, because I can't know what it is you're saying when you use any particular word. For all I know when you say "tulip" you're thinking of a towtruck, but you figure tulip sounds nicer...
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Couldn't care less what others think. Just expressing what I feel. Not saying anyone else is wrong. Not pushing anyone. Not being negative. I wish all peace and eventual enlightenment including myself.

I still want to know how this god did it, and how we know.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You're right of course. But as you rightly pointed out, which name one chooses is entirely meaningless and disconnected from any meaning usually attributed to it, and Jesus  just sounded right for me.

The only reason I have faith is because of divine intervention. I can not speak for anyone else.

When you say "divine intervention", you don't mean "tulip" do you?  Divine intervention as in a god...intervened....?  Well, you can't just let that hang..you want to tell us about it.

Go ahead, I'm all ears (and by that I mean I'm all corn)

I had an intervention that told me that there is no God. I guess it's your word against mine then... Tongue

But would you like to share your experience?

Please elaborate and explain how you determined it was 'divine intervention'.
