You don't have to be in the opposition camp to find certain things in Christianity incredulous. I wasn't referring to merely the homosexuality issue but rather ALL the confusion there is within Christianity.
Exactly. You perceive that there is opposition where there is none of consequence.

No, you wrongly assumed this is the point I was trying to make.
What was your point then?

I'm just trying to establish why you state that Christianity is perfect, in your signature, amidst the sea of confusion there is within Christianity. Not only are there different beliefs within Christianity, you also have all of the contradictions and inconsistancies within the Bible and the fact that there is no proof that Jesus ever lived, etc. (I'm sure you've heard it all before) How can you say that it is perfect?
Or are you saying that ALL the inconsistancies are "imperfect human" related?

The bible is a collection of books collated by men agreed to be inerrant by some. Of course an anti Christian stance should be as you say. Just from my POV it's nothing as you say, and Christians all agree on it.

I don't think that all Christians agree with the Bible in the same way. Each Christian has his own interpretation of the Bible hence all the various types of Christianity:
Protestants, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Anabaptist, Baptists, Pentecostals, Brethren, Amish, Non-Trinitarians, Universalists, Unitarians, Quakers, Restorationists, Church of Jesus christ of Latter Day Saints (The Mormons), Jehovahs Witnesses, Charismatics, Christadelphians, Episcopalian, Anglicans, Episcopal churches, Catholic, "Roman" Catholic (Western Rite Catholicism), Sedevacantists-Those who follow Anti-popes, Old Catholics, Catholics who Follow the Pope, Eastern Orthodox (under the Patriarch of constantinople), Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Serbian Orthodox

Those aren't all Christian churches Crave. The ones that are accept the nicene creed and share an identical understanding of the bible.
From your list, these declare themselves non Christian: Non Trinitarians; Universalists, Mormons; JW's.

See, Craveman? How simple. They are not "real" Christians! Only those who agree with what Frodo says and his interpretations are true Christians. (Insert eyeroll emoticon here)
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

Clear is mud Dotard!
Wasn't it also at the Nicene agreement where they decided for the first time whether Jesus was going to be known as "prophet" or "son on God" by Emperor Constantine at Nicaea? Didn't Constantine only win more votes just because the venue where the council was held was nearer for Constantine's followers therefore he had more votes?

I dunno with this whole homosexuality thing.
Frodo: How would you explain Romans 1:26-27 then?
"For this reason [idolatry] God gave them up to passions of dishonor; for even their females exchanged the natural use for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise also the males, having left the natural use of the female, were inflamed by their lust for one another, males with males, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error."
Mark Taylor: "Religious conflict will be less a matter of struggles between belief and unbelief than of clashes between believers who make room for doubt and those who do not."

@ Dotard & Craveman: Well with your logic language is meaningless - we may as well call a table a chair, as much use as it is.
@ solarwave: Maybe that's speaking of heterosexuals being promiscuous by doing what goes against their nature. To a homosexual, males lusting after males isn't unnatural, so the point is lost.
