In the dark ages of Europe people bathed few times a year if ever. They drank water that had shit in it and didn't think twice. Muslims created the first hospitals, with different wards for different diseases, bathed daily, compiled and advanced knowledge of medicine that the Europeans learned from the Muslims during the crusades and the Spaniards from the Muslim empire in Spain.

Science-Metrix, a data-analysis company in Montreal, Canada, has published a detailed report (PDF) on "geopolitical shifts in knowledge creation" since 1980. "Asia is catching up even more rapidly than previously thought, Europe is holding its position more than most would expect, and the Middle East is a region to watch," says the report's author, Eric Archambault.

Islamic countries are waking up and moving fast towards the old glorious days despite all preventive measures . You know , the muslim countries were very good in many fields of science . Then began to collapse due to political reasons .

Today , the main reason of backwardness of the Islamic countries is poverty and wrong policies . The money spent on research and development activities is 3% of the national income in Usa , its 4% in Israel . But in muslim countries , its 0.8% on average.

We expect to make a strides especially from Saudi . Because they're sitting on money . Actually muslim countries have so big potentials to make money but they are exploited by others . King Abdullah University of Science and Technology have a 20 billion dollar donation for each year . This is perfect . Qatar will increase the money spent rate of RD from 0.8% to 2,8% . Turkiye is increasing this rate 10% for per year and today they spend more than 2 times from Norway . Inshallah we will see much more developments and in the future I will spend all of my money for the education of muslim children . There are millions of child those who want to study but they cant because of the poverty . Also their lucky ones are migrating to Europe or Usa . Brain drain .

Not much point in study/education if your'e going to reject the facts of life. There is an emerging Pakistani middle class with access to reasonable quality education, yet it's still a case of rejecting the education that doesn't suit islam, especially when it comes to the horror of evolution and physics.

Poverty can't explain away every societal ill. Wrong policies, well, that is curious, because Islam has bad policies for a great many problems, clearly its punishments haven't deterred criminal behaviour in Islamic societies, and it's rulings on education have done nothing to empower women or allow them to flourish. If Islamic countries sorted their shit out and developed a vibrant and mixed labour market that allowed women to reach their potential, then it would be able to compete more effectively in a market economy. Because women are apparently better at being emotional and raising children, they're kept out of working life alltogether and some great ideas are never realised. As I say, educate your women, allow them out of the house without a fucking escort, develop some maternity and paternity leave options and even without the gift of state intervention or protectionism I bet you'll see a difference. If a developed country like Britain cut women from the labour force it would collapse entirely within 24 hours. Islam IS political, and women ARE shunned from that political process. It's all linked.

Secular culture and medical advice recommends this sort of thing in practically every developed nation, duh. Mortality rates and infection rates for most things are considerably lower in the developed world, which doesn't include the Islamic world. In addition, there were proponents of cleanliness before Islam, think Galen and Hipocrates. I don't have Islam in my life yet I clean regularly, because quite clearly Islam isn't the only thing that promotes personal hygene. There's this thing called human endevour, and it allows humans to engage in beneficial behaviour in a secular context.

This is just utterly derranged rambling. Most of the die hard capitalist big shots aren't even liberally minded, and you confuse capitalism with liberalism as if they are the same thing, when actually they come to blows quite often. In most developed countries the liberal political parties are those endorsing the heaviest forms of restraint and regulation upon capitalism (usually only trumped by more hardcore socialist movements). The idea that a bisexual consumer is what is ultimately strived for is completely nonsensical and you make the claim with reference to nothing. Also, whilst financial systems were squeezed to breaking point and whilst social pressures where running high, the developed world still looked better at its worst than the Islamic world at its best. You also forget that most Islamic countries utilise capitalism to various degrees, and rather than apply regulation they opt for corruption and chronyism time and time again. Corruption is in the culture. You can thank liberalism for allowing such huge population movements which allow massive numbers of Muslims in to the developed world. It is the liberal ideology that has promoted tolerance and understanding for other faiths, even when their ideas are dangerous and bigoted, like yours. Again, you rely on youtube videos and discussions with your imbecile friends to build your picture of the world, in which you clumsily muddle various different subjectivities together and discuss them as if they were the same thing, and part of 'the enemy'. If you actually sat down and read a fucking book in a library (which you claim your people created), you'd realise that your clumsy useage of terms like capitalism and liberalism demonstrates a profound lack of understanding of these ideas. For this reason, you try and piece together things you hate yet don't understand, such as homosexuality, liberalism and capitalism, and try and blur them together as some big bad western conspiracy, hellbent on destroying Islam. More often than not, these things have nothing to do with one another, and are often at odds. Your grasp of world affairs is truly laughable. Go to one of your great libraries and read some books and journals. Read Keynes and Marx, read Hawkins and Jason Burke.
