This deserves a comment. Your reply has merit, I find missionary, very for lack of a better word, ''vanilla.''

This might sound odd, but I don't really like 'romantic' sex. I do enjoy the bonding experience, but to me, sex has been best when I'm not in love with the person. Maybe heavy in like or infatuation, but once I fall in love, something changes about sex, (for me).

Not to say atheists are the only ones that can offer me carnal pleasure lol But, I have found that they are less hung up on having to have every sexual moment be about bonding or love or whatever, and just enjoy the experience.

Like when they show a couple 'making love' missionary style in the movies, I find it contrived.

Maybe I need therapy.

Aww. See, even casual sex between friends with benefits is pretty intimate for me. I guess because even when I fall in love with someone, they're also still my best friend, so for me sex makes bonds and is better that way.

BUT, I also get into BDSM, so there's a bit of a different headspace there.

I like all positions. Good lovers make them all exciting.

Nah- just avoid missionary position for some years and then it will become new again. I used to feel the same way, but then I realized after some time had passed that there were merits. Maybe it's the "making love" and not the missionary position that bores you? I agree that nothing's more contrived than that whole "deep into each other's eyes while arching throats during missionary sex" movie thing. Yawn. Tender does not do it for me.
