Elysium. It was pretty good, I was just surprised at how, nearly beat for beat, the plot is almost identical to the writer/director's first work, District 9. Not that that's a problem, since District 9 is one of my favorite movies, but it still sticks in the mind.

Kick Ass 2.
A little thin on plot compared to the first but still pretty funny.
I watched layer cake last night, it was over corny and over dramatic with a bunch of stereotypes which I imagine don't really exist in the real criminal world.
I also imagine it's the type of film middle class retail managers watch and think "Yeh I'm just like the main gangster in this film" Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason.
My parents took me out to Philomena yesterday.

I was going to go to the movies today, but an NSF put an end to that plan. Marvel Avengers and some girl porn
Debating seeing an NC-17 art flick: Blue Is The Warmest Color (La Vie d'Adèle). It lasts 3 hours!

I figured this would be a good thread to also mention television shows I have recently watched.
I finally got around to finishing the first season of the classic Doctor Who. Now, time for season two. My one concern is that Susan is going to continue being a whiny female for as long as she is on the show.

~ Erin Hunter Watched the first half of The Bourne Legacy on Blu-ray last night. I've seen all but the last 30 minutes on a previous viewing from a rental. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out tonight. |
