The way you word that doesn't quite make sense. I think the closest you can get is to say that the atheist's belief is based on a rejection of the position (the position being: god exists).

Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1][2] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.

People are born atheist as they lack any sort of comprehension or understanding of 'god'.

To this day, I still do not understand what a 'god' is, what 'it' does, what 'it' looks like etc.

All I have are beliefs of others to go on, which fall far short of the mark of convincing me their claims are true.

Like you, DOS. The tactic of being obtuse and purposefully ignorant towards those that disagree with you. That's the way to win us over buddy!

You want us to 'believe' that whatever version of god it is you follow exists? Give us your evidence.

Nope.

It's a lack of belief in a god or gods. Anything else?

I find the phrase "rejection of belief" to be a bit tricky. They could have shortened that to read "atheism is the belief in the position that there are no deities."
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Does it change anything? Belief usually is based on something and you believe in null. You believe in the position!!! Faceplam!!!

LOGIC FAIL:

You might want to hold your face palms until you understand what it is you're actually talking about.

@DOS

I don't believe your position or anyone else's regarding a deity. Go ahead and try that whole 'you believe the position' thing on me, you won't get far. Try saying something useful for a change.

Seriously, what's the point of all this?

We are quite sure of what we do or do not believe in, and whether or not one word encapsulates our position will not change our position. You're just playing with words and you're awful at that.
