I was going to suggest that if you have been blocked because parents disagree with your atheism you should consider using the pc forums theme that was setup a while ago. However, it seems to have been removed.

When I was younger I got corporal punishment a few times for sneaking away instead of going to church. I still need to have the same "talk" with that parent. Should be interesting...At least I've got my own laptop and internet Good luck! Spinoza Wrote:God is the Asylum of Ignorance RE: My Parents Strike Again

Using it might act as a preventative measure to the site being blocked. Even when using the proxy it still says "atheist forums" in great big friendly letters across the top of the page. Which do you think the parents noticed first, the domain name or the banner? EDIT: 256th post! XD

No neighbours either to leech off either then? I'd wade in with the reverse logic argument but it never got me anywhere so... (November 13, 2009 at 1:31 pm)Rob Wrote:Good point. I've installed a black theme. It doesn't have as many features, but it'll work for now. lol, I've had a little experience with WEP cracking, however, the good thing is, his is unsecured.
I used to leech off of someone else's unsecure network next door, but my dad put a WEP key on the NEIGHBOR'S AP!! Ill check into that site though, I want to have a few successes so I can feel good. lol My father saw the AF while I was on it, but not the banner, nor the domain name. It must've been when he got on later and checked out the site from history. I left it in the history b/c I thought he could be mature and keep his composure over the matter without becoming the internet nazi at our own house. (He is called the internet nazi at his work (hospital) b/c he is in charge of their whole network and permissions) I'd acutally like that program if it works nicely, expect a PM if I have questions lol. I'm at my gmas house atm, she must not know, and dad must not have told her. I wonder how she would react... Dad is not religious to my knowledge, I know he's a Christian, but not devout or anything. We haven't went to church since before I was 10, so about 8-9 years. My gma is religious, pretty pious, but I'd expect more tolerance from her.

Oh for crying out loud! The next time you get on daddy's laptop install a nice little key logger program so that you can capture his password and unblock the website at will. Just make sure that every time you come here you erase it from the history and you relock the parental controls so he can't detect that you were ever here nor suspect that you have his password.

Amazing that we are all advocating the use of 'illegal and/or malicious software'...
Lol, but seriously.... if they are blocking you from Atheistfoums.org: it's justified Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
In what way is a proxy illegal or malicious? :S
Hoi Zaeme.
Funny how you all are advocating ways around the rules of his household rather than encouraging him to abide by the rules and suck it up until he's out on his own.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.
