As far as I'm concerned, the very hypocrites preaching racial tolerance who freely use the "N" word to make a point are more the guilty of intolerant bigotry and racism.

Yup. It's a derogatory term no matter what context it's used in. Especially since the ones freely throwing it around are calling other people they don't agree with racists and nazis. They're not tolerant. They're bigots and hypocrites. If they can throw the "N" word around that easily, they're the real racists.

No it's not. I don't even use the word at anytime. But I notice you're not as sensitive against using the term.

It is. All "the N word" is, is a workaround to say nigger. If you say "the N word" you might as well just use the actual word. It'd be like if I called you a cunt, but in my mind I spelled it K-U-N-T. It's technically a different word yes, but I'm still calling you a cunt.

*I'm not actually trying to call you a cunt, just using another offensive term to get the point across.

Despite my posts in this thread I am actually pretty sensitive about using the word around people. As much as I believe that I should be allowed to say the word, it still skeeves me out to say it.

Meh, I don't buy it. I'm not a racist just because I've used the word on here, I was never aiming it at anyone nor was I condoning its use. It's just natural that when you're talking about a specific word you usually end up saying it. I don't think that automatically makes anyone a racist, intent is what makes someone racist IMHO.
