This is the case with God. God cannot exist while at the same time being merciful and just, wrathful and omniscient, etc.

Not illogical. Maybe not understandable, but that is different. Most people don't understand how a computer works nowadays, but they can still see it and touch it so can determine it very likely exists.

How is a computer illogical? If you explained to them the necessity it plays in the future (a world far detached from the middle ages) I think they'd understand the role of computers. It's not a difficult concept to grasp if you explain it to them. That's a terrible example.

When I say "the computer is illogical", I meant it cannot be easily explained and may not be thought to be possible in the middle ages.

Kind of changes the meaning of the thread a bit, doesn't it? Because that's not what "illogical" means at all. "Inconceivable" is closer to what you're looking for.

So basically you used the word "illogical" to mean something not covered by the standard definition of the word "illogical". Then we can reword the first part of your thread title as "Hard-to-explain things can be real", to which the response is likely to be along the lines of "no shit, Sherlock".

I like this. Although occams razor still cuts.

How can you still disprove an illogical entity like God despite this idea?
That thinker would probably not think a computer is illogical if they actually saw one working and had the basics explained to them.
After all, computers demonstrably exist and function, neither of which is true about God.
