I could be thankful for the forces of nature and space for that, but I don't consider that a person to thank. Since I obviously don't believe in Yahweh anymore, I don't feel the need to address him.

"Who put those there..." presupposes a who. Your question is invalid.

And "thankful" is not a useful word in this context. There is no one to thank.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
