Quote:In southern english 'et' takes the place of Ate. As in; 'I et me some of that and it was goood!' and as I speak a southern dialect and not french.. I figured it would work.

I'm northern english (Lancastrian) and use et for ate. Perhaps you meant to say Southern American-english?

Hmm so someone who was born in england, lives in england and has traced his ancestry back to the mid 1600's as being 100% in england isn't speaking english? But yourself who lives in a country that can't even spell english words correctly does (not having a go at my american cousins, just trying to prove a point)?

WTF is Kings english???

Why the d-bag? i was only trying to ascertain if you were an ex-pat in which case I would have sort of gone along with what you were saying?

Fechin' misogynist... We have a Queen, though perhaps you aren't familiar with what a female looks like?
I would concede that the protestant claims are absurd though that still leaves the Orthodox church as a front runner.
The claim that the church brought us out of the Dark Ages is somewhat... interesting, given it was the church that plunged us into the Dark Ages...
However the Orthodox Church still leaves something to be desired in terms of ethics.
Take the financial problems of Greece, the country to intents and purposes collapsed, democratic government was replaced by appointees, rioting has been widespread, people are committing suicide in significant numbers. Meanwhile in the Greek Orthodox Churches;

I was thinking more in terms of the yellow metal they use to cover the walls, and we aren't talking about brass...
