Nope. Just got a few twenty things to clear up first....
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

You can feel free to make suggestions. Perhaps we could find a topic somewhere in the reasons you have for being a Christian?
How about this? Let me ask you a question: what would you say is the most compelling reason you have for believing in Christianity?

Quote:My experience is you can spend hours riding the "scholars say..." merry-go-round talking about the details of Tacitus.
That is quite true, D-P.
It also does not change the fact that no one in in antiquity ever referred to the Tacitus passage in Annales nor did they know anything about "Nero" persecuting xtians.
I keep asking myself why that is so and I keep coming up with one answer:
The passage is a forgery.

I would say the most compelling reason I have for believing Christianity is the witness or testimony of the Holy Spirit within me. He began testifying to me of the truths of Christianity beginning with my conversion experience which occurred in 2006. Since then, the testimony of the Spirit of God within me has been affirming and reaffirming the truth of the Word of God. This witness within me, this mighty working of God within my soul has been manifested in innumerable ways. Most evidently in the change of heart that I have been experiencing. This evidence, this perceptible and visible change in my thinking, my conduct, my desires, my perception of reality, etc. I am able to trace all of these things back to my conversion experience. The scripture uses various terms when speaking of this experience. In some places it is referred to as a "quickening". In other places it is referred to as "regeneration". In other places it is referred to as being "born again".
To be concise, the most compelling reason I have is the fact that in 2006, God brought me into a relationship with Himself.

There are many things you don't understand.
Evidently, logic is one.
