Ok, that's true, it's not exactly a causal relationship going on, but there does seem to be a correlation. Which is a subtle difference, but it's there.
Anyway, I wonder what this will do to fundamentalist religious zealots who claim GLBT people have shorter life spans (a claim I haven't seen proven in any way, shape or form) and claim that's proof that their behavior is unnatural and unhealthy?

You think correlation and causation have only a subtle difference? The rise in AIDS deaths in the 1980's correlates with the rise in ownership of VCRs in the UK correlation yes. Causation utterly not.

They think that the earth is 6000 years old! If they can dismiss all the scientific evidence which proves that is nonsense, how hard will they find it to dismiss this
