Cruz then confirmed just that. “You don’t have a right to intrude upon the rights of others because whether or not a man believes he’s a woman, there are a lot of women who would like to be able to use a public restroom in peace without having a man there — and when there are children involved, you don’t have a right to impose your lifestyle on others.”
Cruz is a miserable douche.
He is a douche, but this still doesn't confirm what the media believes he meant. He's just arguing as usual. It's not some next level shit. It's the same shit as always.

This one's a real Mensa candidate.

It's weird to me that Minnesota has become known for such political lunatics as this ass-clown and Michelle Bachmann. When I grew up in that part of the country (North Dakota, right on the ND-MN state line, to be exact), Minnesotans were largely seen as political moderates. There was hardly a dime's worth of difference between a Hubert Humphrey Democrat and most of the Republicans you'd run across. Apparently, a lot has changed there in the years since I moved away, and not for the better.

Ah, yes. 'Murrican Health Care...as the republicunts want it to be.

Quote:The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act--Obamacare--was never really about healthcare, though its impact upon the nation's health is disastrous. From its start, it was about power, the expansion of government control over one sixth of our economy, and resulted in an attack on our Constitution, by requiring that U.S. citizens purchase health insurance. We agree with the four dissenting justices of the Supreme Court: "In our view the entire Act before us is invalid in its entirety." It was the high-water mark of an outdated liberalism, the latest attempt to impose upon Americans a euro-style bureaucracy to manage all aspects of their lives. Obamacare has been struck down in the court of public opinion. It would tremendously expand Medicaid without significant reform, leaving the States to assume unsustainable financial burdens. If fully implemented, it could not function; and Republican victories in the November elections will guarantee that it is never implemented.
Certainly not the health of the citizenry.

What is wrong with a Euro-style bureaucracy? It seems to work better than the US one and is much fairer. I would not want to live in the US because of the over reliance on market forces which makes your health care expensive and mercenary.
