Or to put it another way, in the age of the TV, radio, and the internet, being born in the South is no excuse.

I sometimes think of myself as a "southern gentleman". Of course, that might mean something different to me than it does to others.

It's an old fashioned word, but it mean "courtliness" to me.

Ah..the Republicunt "Vision."

http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/20...grams.html

Quote:The initial proposals set to be released this week and authored by Senate Budget Committee Chairman Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., and House Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price, R-Ga., seek to balance the federal budget over 10 years, without raising taxes. To achieve those goals, the plans are expected to include $5 trillion in cuts to domestic programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, over the course of the next decade.

“The thinking today is: Let’s pass a budget that lays out our aspirational goals over the next decade,” Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn.

So, as anyone with a pulse knows, they "aspire" to fuck the poor and defend the rich. And middle-class Americans continue to vote for these miserable scumbags because........ I have no clue. It is simply mind-boggling.

Incredible Kansas dickhead.

Quote:Gov. Sam Brownback: Forcing women to have babies is part of ‘pro-economic growth agenda’ in Kansas

Meanwhile, this is what this tea bagging shitwit has wrought in Kansas.

http://mic.com/articles/112350/2-years-s...-hellscape

Quote:Because of revenue shortages caused by the historic tax cuts, Kansas has stripped funding to higher education, social services and most controversially, primary schools. Staring into the abyss of historic deficits, Brownback in February reacted by again proposing to shave as much off the education budget as he could within the boundary of the law after a court declared his initial budget violated a state statute.

On its current path, Kansas is expected to be in a $900 million hole by 2019. This year, the state is facing a $279 million budget gap — a stunning reversal for a government that had a $700 million surplus just two years ago.

Jobs? We don' need no stinking jobs!

Quote:Tenn. GOPer slams Volkswagen: Creating 200,000 jobs is ‘intentionally’ a ‘magnet for unionized labor’

Quote:According to Chattanooga Times Free Press, Watson told the state Senate Commerce Committee that approving $165.8 million in tax incentives for Volkswagen was dangerous because unions could change the “culture” of Tennessee.

If there is one place in the western world that needs a culture change it is the fucking american south.

On a related note, he's the next GOP nominee. You heard it here first.

I've posted this before but it bears repeating: all of my life, when a sitting GOP president is not running, the GOP nominee has always been the runner up in the last primary if that runner up still wants the nomination.

1976: Reagan was the runner up and the primary winner in 1980.
1980: HW Bush was the runner up and the primary winner in 1988.
1988: Dole was the runner up and the primary winner in 1996.
1996: Buchannan was the runner up but dropped out of the GOP after.
2000: McCain was the runner up and the primary winner in 2008.
2008: Romney was the runner up and the primary winner in 2012.
2012: Santorum was the runner up. Stay tuned...
