Why did God murder children for making fun of a bald guy?

I used to work with a bald, jewish guy. This was his favorite passage. In fact, I think it was the only one he knew.

I started a naming convention with my kids adding 'bob' to the end of their names. My mum trumped me by calling me baldybob. My wife recently remembered and told my kids.
That will teach you not to take the name of 'bob' in vain.

Elisha was just a normal ol' human without the magical ability to summon bears to attack children

Yeah it's in the thread Rahul. Elisha had da powaz already as a prophet, which gave him direct responsibility for them. He abused his powers to do evil. He was at fault.

God can't shirk the responsibility for this story of slaughter.

I'm going with "because he's a psychopathic dick" or "because he doesn't exist".
It's a story to remind people not to speak ill of the prophets, as speaking against christianity is the worst and one unforgivable sin. It's also to remind people that Yahweh is a petty, vindictive psychopath.

And then watch the apologists try to explain that they weren't actually kids, but rather teenagers and young adults.
... Yeah, cause that definitely makes the story all that more palatable. |
