Democrats have conquered most demographics in this country, except, of course, white men. This piece in the New York Times about Democratic efforts to capture their vote—or at least more of it—is fascinating insofar as it really shows how much the white male vote is controlled by nothing more than resentment, particularly resentment of women and people of color for spending the last few decades improving their lot in life. It’s not even a vote to restore lost levels of white male privilege, since I think white men must know that putting that genie back into the bottle isn’t going to work. At this point, then, voting Republican is just about punishment. You can’t stop a black guy from being your boss at work and your wife is never going to be Mrs. Cleaver, but you can make life a little harder for women and people of color in revenge for “stealing” the easy life of never having to compete with them that you feel entitled to. Also, MORE GUNS, because your phallic death totems are so soothing and help fill, temporarily, that desire to be a big man.

All political analysis is speculative but, from the underlying NY Times story,

No Democratic presidential candidate has won a majority of white men since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.

the issue is quite real.

Many GOP analysts recognize the problem. They cling harder and harder to a shrinking base and whenever they tell them to be more inclusive they are called "RINOs" (republicunts in name-only) and the base moves on to some even bigger fascist.

If minority voters would get off their asses and vote in the mid-terms in numbers approaching what they do in presidential elections the dems could forget about white males totally.

What's really interesting is that Hillary Clinton appears to be polling roughly even with white people.

It's still early, but if the best the GOP can do is a push on the white vote, they may as well not even bother cuz it's gonna be ugly.

The best part is that the GOP response to the left's push towards social moderate-ness seems to be a three pronged approach:

1) Appeal even more to the ever shrinking religious right.
2) Undermine everything the left does, no matter how trivial.
3) Prey (pray?) on the ignorant and hope no one's the wiser.

Disgraced conservative columnist John Derbyshire is urging the Republican Party to abandon its meager efforts to court voters who aren’t racist white men.

Derbyshire, who lost his job with the National Review after publishing a “nasty and indefensible” 2012 column about his racial prejudices, told Communities Digital News on Friday that the GOP would never attract enough black and women voters to be worth the effort.

“The future of the conservative movement is as a home for white ethnocentrism,” said Derbyshire, who now writes for the white nationalist site VDARE.

The reason white men vote republican is because they're tired of the government taking their money and wasting it away. These aren't rich corporate types , but working types who have struggled through the years to provide for families and find that they're blasted by the rest of society. They give more and more as government takes more and more and they receive no benefit. Then you have stupid commentary like that above. But I must agree that this is what America has come to. Western Europe is already crumblling under government debt and we're following right behind.

Idiots should be blasted. It might wake them up. They been suckered by corporate criminals and they keep bending over and saying "please sir, may I have another."




So they listen to Rush Limbaugh and go back to their trailer parks and bitch about liberals and niggers and queers and feminazis and none of those groups are the ones who are fucking them over.
