I think if your not enjoying life by the time your, well say 30, you'll never enjoy your life, you would be too conditioned to be miserable.

Is age merely a number?
|
I just hit 30, doesn't really phase me, I'm a better person then I was in my young 20's. I expect I'll have more fun in my 30's as well, and even more accomplished. I don't care about age, I think, as long as your able to enjoy life who cares if your 20 or 80.

That's just how I live my life, I am 57 now, and my life has never been better, Oh yea baby.
I enjoy myself thoroughly ^.^ I just worry about unnecessary, uncontrollable things. But nothing my BOB can't take care of

That's terrifying because I very much enjoy life. Happy birthday my pink-haired new friend. (Say hello to Bob for me.) Twenty-seven seems so young to me, the prime of life physically. I enjoyed 27. Hadn't gone back to finish college yet. Lots of physical activity and pushing my limits that way. Was winding down my first marriage. I just hit 61 and my wife of 30+ years is at 71. We have friends in their 80's and I have many in their 30's that I work with. I like getting older. I like the greater sense of perspective as well as the accumulation of financial stability, something I hope future working class folk can still accomplish. The worse part is the inevitable physical decline. My Lia also tends to worry and obsess about the future too. I feel for you both. In my limited experience, it seems to be a more common problem for women than men. Hyper vigilance could be a trait more highly selected for moms. Who knows, maybe.
Happy birthday, old-timer.

I get older if I'm as old as the person I feel. RE: Is age merely a number?

Can any one show me WHAT a 20 something is supposed to look like? How about a 30 something person? 40 something? 50 something? 60 something? 70 something? ....and on and on.
Suffice to say that age IS just a number. What you do with your life (and the time left to you) is another matter entirely. By the way, I think whateverist and Min look absolutely gorgeous! Oh, and have a fantastic Happy Birthday day/ week OMAM! "The Universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements: energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest." G'Kar-B5

Actually, I don't think being hot matters in that case - you can be really hot and guys can get tired of waiting around if they're not actually interested in you. It's a good way to weed fuckers out.
