Two weeks and it's the world juniors, and then Olympic hockey!

Multiple World Hockey Championships! Go Canada go!

I don't watch TV, I have never seen Lost, but I have heard about it...

No disrespect to those other programs but to me Lost is on a different level. It's masterful artistry ..edge of your seat stuff.

It's easily the most intricately and beautifully woven story in the history of television, full of metaphor, allegory, fate vs free will, science vs nature, good vs evil, they set up the background for an event several seasons beforehand, have a real talent for not letting even the most seemingly useless moment go to waste - even the stuff you thought to be insignificant can be tied together with events, places, objects, information and people over time to form substantially intricate sub-plots. Their use of imagery or reference to things in the real world gives the story such amazing depth - they literally have patterns in the show highly correlated with every major religion past and present, references to the greatest ideas in science such as Minkowski Spacetime, Bose-Einstein condensates, the Casimir Effect etc, Characters named after philosophers, artists, war heroes, characters of fiction, authors, world leaders and more, all of which give insight into the characters, events, mythology and possible outcomes for the show.

To be honest, it's more of a hobby that a show 3 months of the year, but it's extremely addictive and rewarding - you actually learn a hell of a lot of real world information.

I think that TV is not the best place to get you real world information.

Well no kidding, has anyone ever claimed that?

LOST is not mindless television like a lot of shows, there is something related to the world of the real that inspires you to research the topic and find out more while at the same time making for excellent storytelling.

Hell, even Michio Kaku and Adam Savage write about the science of LOST on a regular basis.
