I am glad tv, movies, and such is out the to Entertain us. Otherwise we would have nothing to make us laugh, cry, curse, or do anything else. Smile

But of course we could find these things and more to keep us entertain from something else. IMO people like to sit down and watch a tv show to just unwind.

And what would we do if we didn't have Fox News to make fun of?

Whatever did such before TV, as human experience predates the illusion of human experience.

Radio, books, plays, etc.

The human race has always loved fiction, and there is nothing you can do to change that Pippy, even if you find it somehow "evil".

It's not fiction that's evil, it's TV. (some) TV is evil fiction. In a very broad sense that for once I will leave un-expounded. I'm trying to make points and not sound crazy, but it seems hard some days.

To CristalRose, Hello and welcome. I like your religious veiws, there is always a new assortment of ideas to see someone use to try to explain what is very complex and personal. Smile

I am also looking forward to planting, I am a rookie suburban dirt farmer, one year in. Last year I learned a lot, and messed up a lot. Squash will cover 40 feet square if you let them. Interesting. I am happy to hear that you also enjoy gardening.

My whole yard is a certified Wildlife Habitat, a kind of eco habitat natrualized garden. Long story, very proud of it... There is also one of almost every kind of magic tree, and a circle. But I'm blathering, as you will see I can go on and on.

Thanks,
-Pip

TV is just a device, a medium to be used. It is no more evil or good than the blender in my kitchen.
