Things that are designed and have similar appearance and functions will have similar blueprints.

ETA: BTW, why the switch from the fossil record to genetics? Not finding fossils all that compelling?

they are all very compelling! but what doesnt let you accept it is some 2k year old book! fossils and genetics all lead to the same thing, its there, the evidence is there but why do you deny it? it seems like you believe in "intelligent design", how do you know that it was designed? what does a universe that has no design look like?

it isn't in our nature to think of a God, it is in our nature to seek answers and the concept of God is most influenced in this world.

Can you support that fossils and genetics always lead to the same trees?

Which part of that says that fossils and genetics always lead to the same trees? And pbs isn't a scientific organization to my knowledge.

the fossils lead more towards living organisms, or all animals where as genetics leads to plants and animals. Take a look at this, you can really see the connection Smile

if you want to look at the fossil record for the animals as in going to human down to like elephants, you would have to do that yourself by seeing each set of fossils and compare them to see the similarity.

do some of your own research, theres tons of things you can learn and its a lot to take in!

Gee, it's almost as if you don't have any evidence at all to present, given that you've fallen back on a completely unsubstantiated argument from design.

Switch? You mean additional sources of compelling empirical evidence?

What empirical evidence for God's existence and intelligent design did you present again?

Your failure to understand science does not indicate scientific consensus is faulty. It indicates you don't understand the evidence, and yet fancy yourself an expert at interpreting it.

There's a term for that.

Quote:The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude.[1] Actual competence may weaken self-confidence, as competent individuals may falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding.
