Atheism is not a religion in and of itself, but atheist activists forming an organization to push their agenda can be debated to be.
So there is no "fallacy of composition"
You can be a religious athiest
So why present as evidence that chart which, in this context, does result in a fallacy of composition - as well as a fallacious appeal to authority?
Had you not gone there, I would have remained silently on the sidelines.

A statement you've yet to even attempt to justify beyond your misunderstanding of parody, by the way.

Never mind I'll include it.

If you want to discuss your OP, start a new thread. What is it with you guys and your inability to take part in a discussion without making it all about you and your beliefs?
All you've done here is reinforce how creationists are unable to take part in reality without making themselves and their beliefs the center of attention, ignoring facts and responding with self righteous indignation every time they're asked to attend to the subject matter at hand, which they can't even do without demanding apostates defend their position to distract having nothing worthwhile to defend their own.

She refuses to engage on this, and many topics. Firstly, I'm a dude
Secondly, there was nothing to engage, Esquilax posted.

Just not atheists with their big red A, right?
Quote:These atheists on the other have nothing better to do than to build a display celebrating the "Bill of rights" (lol), Surrounded by the founding fathers (all slave owners) in honor of a roman god.
The christians have nothing better to do than build a display celebrating the "birth of the savior" (lol), surrounded by religious iconography (of a genocidal god) in honor of a middle eastern god.
Quote:And of course you, of all people, come to their defense.
They don't require defense, since you haven't offered a cogent offense.
Quote:Since atheists always stress their moral superiority (humanists), how about instead of spending money on a display that means nothing, donate it to the nearest soup kitchen.
The same could be asked of every christian church, megachurch, religious display, ten commandments monument, or ark park across the world. And that "moral superiority" claim goes double for christians.
Quote:Also why don't I ever see atheists protesting Islam? I guess it must be the whole fatwā thing.
You're not paying attention, which, after reading these arguments, doesn't surprise me. Every single one of your points could also be turned on the demonstrably larger christian apparatus, and yet you apparently have no trouble seeing the reasons why they do as they do... just not willing to spend even an iota of thought doing the same for a position you don't agree with, huh?
Ah well, it's hardly the only thing you don't think about, I'm sure.

They are getting more clever with there ideas..
"I think it's funny how you guys (so called; secularists, atheists, agnostics, "scientists" whatever) never consider the relativity of time. Not saying this is thefact, buuuuut how do you know time didn't run slower in the past? ? ? O.o -It isrelative, right?"
"I mean, the Universe (by current estimates) is expanding AND expanding at someexponential rate. Is it possible our galaxy expands outward as well? We know there's "some" kind of relationship between a galaxy's blackhole and its size. You know, the "blackhole" where time is theorized to STOP at the event horizon. Is it possible, the FURTHER away you get from a blackhole, the faster time runs?..."
"...Yeah, smh [try to wrap your head around that] -a thousand years today could very well have been a week 200 million years ago."
"You so called "secularists" are just nincompoops with ZERO creative ability, intuition or insight. You're trapped in a fucking box man. A box called matter. (In other words, you're Fast the Fuck Asleep.)"

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Huggy's dodge tactics have taken you guys all over the map. I think we should add "Best Shake and Bake" to our member awards next year. Huggy would have it in the bag, so to speak.

To which I asked how you could even draw an equivalency, given that the two things are nothing alike. In order for me to be a hypocrite you would have had to have posted an example of atheists wanting everything their own way too, and what you actually posted was an example of atheists setting up a similar display alongside christians, not encroaching upon them.
You literally got everything wrong about what the thing in your link was, and then when called on it you made a bunch of claims that didn't address the point and could equally be applied to your side, something you called a "redirection tactic," when I called you on that.
Quote:If you want an example of "refusing to engage", here is Esquilax using redirection tactics.
I love how holding you accountable to the same standards you wish to hold me to is a tactic now, as if intellectual consistency and an avoidance of special pleading is some evil atheist trick that christians would never engage in.
