Which web browser do you use?
|
I have both Internet Explorer and Firefox. They are a little bit slow, but I am youst to them. I may decide to change my web browser in a little bit, if I am not satisfied with the ones I have now.

Chrome, but the odd time I still use Firefox. But it sure is slower..
Define slower. I have no speed issues at all in Firefox. I had some on this site a few weeks back but that was only on this site, nowhere else.

It's (FF) slow to load initially, but after that it's fine.
In all speed tests, Chrome is the faster browser. It's all down to the rendering engine. WebKit is lightweight, and is the fastest available for that reason. Gecko (what Firefox uses) is slower because it is bloated with a lot of other features.
Same with JavaScript engines. Firefox is very slow for JavaScript compared to the other browsers (cept for I.E). It probably shows more on a faster internet connection, but Firefox is noticeably slower at rendering.
Chrome at home, firefox at work. For some odd reason firefox at home started to error like crazy so I switched. I have I.E. at work (Because I need to use it for work related stuff) and on my laptop, because not everything uses Chrome yet so sometimes I have to use another browswer

Are these the differences between 0.1 seconds and 0.2 seconds? because even though 1 is then 100% faster than the other I see no difference. It is not that I don't believe you, but to say something is faster is like saying a building is higher. It lacks quantification. Quote:It probably shows more on a faster internet connection, but Firefox is noticeably slower at rendering. What is slow in this context then? I see no slow buildup of pages here, so how much faster does one need? I am on 30 Mbit here, how much faster do I need to go to see a difference?

I am now on Chrome.
Can someone give me a website that would show the better performance of Chrome?

I don't have any trouble with the browser, unless there are other people borrowing off from my router. I have an old computer system as well. I am planning on getting a better system in a little bit, until then I have what I have now.
