Enjoy it while you can.

And congratulations.

thank you Big Grin
So far, so good, think I like letting myself go, and not being so walled up with fears.

It helps that he's so sexy and nice, too. Wink

I put my cell phone in the same pocket as my car keys---and scratched the shit out of my brand new screen protector. That's what it's for. But they're like $10 apiece. Now I have to wait till Thursday for Amazon to send me my new pack of screen protectors with free 2nd day shipping. FML.

When my new smartphone (droid razrM) had a bizarre malfunction the second week I had it, tech support insisted on deleting all the apps I had put in it.

Year and a half later, I have never put another one in.

My smart phone stays paired with the OnStar in my Equinox when I am in the house. Somebody calls me, it only rings in the Equinox.

I have a DirecTV Genie with no clients, but it is connected to 3 other DirecTV HDDVRs, and an outboard off air tuner and all of them are old fashioned mirrored to all the TVs in my house (the other installers think that is profoundly weird)

It was also cheaper to bump up to DirecTV Premier tier instead of dropping Cinemax.

The guy who bought my old pickup (nearly 30 years old) was gob smacked it had no rust. No surprise there, it was a goddam Ford diesel and it never started under 40 degrees F. It had never been driven on a salted icy road, and I had never had it towed on one either. Therefore, no rust.

A problem I don't have:

I have 2 very fantastic, valuable and pristine Klipsch Cornwall speakers and 2 house cats that are not declawed. My secret: I'm a control freak and the kitties respect me and the speakers. One of the cats was feral for a year before rescue. He didn't have access to the speakers until I felt he was comfortable with 'da rules' here. The vet who cleaned him up when first captured, was amazed a year later at what a gentle and well behaved cat he had become. Wendel knows he has a great gig here and he ain't doing anything to mess it up. The other cat is a little more rambunctious, but a steely glance and a kurt 'NO!' from me is all it takes. Cats want guidance in their lives, or at least mine do, and they get it.

Kudos given for the Cornwalls - many years ago I used to have a pair of Heresy Speakers - those things could ROCK!

I have a pair of Heresy speakers too. They are in storage, the Cornwalls are big enough by themselves!

Both pairs have consecutive serial numbers. The combination of great sound and high efficiency is what makes them all so special.

Agreed. The cornwalls were beasts - I remember them well. I actually always preferred them over the Scala's. The Heresy's were great but a bit limited on the low end. I used to run mine with a REL Strata 3 sub-woofer which was the only thing that would keep up with the bass. It was a powerful combo but in the end my wife wanted her living room back and now we have a small stereo with a ludicrous sub-woofer that is a hangover from my audiophile days.

Still, mustn't complain - I got a new flat screen TV for my troubles.

This is a worthwhile necro.

I made some epic spaghetti today - fresh peppers, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, beef, onions, garlic, clams, kalamata olives, and prosciutto with herbs from my garden.

But I burnt my tongue tasting it from a fucking spoon. Now I can't taste or enjoy it. My lady assures me it's good.

Shit.
