How easy I have had it.

How easy I have had it.
Pascal's Wager doesn't even work. One can't choose to have faith, and an omniscient being is going to be able to tell if you're faking it to make it. It was a ridiculous weak attempt to justify faith as a gambler's proposition.

Exactly. One I realized it was a false dichotomy I was done lol
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a goddess, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint

How much time did you spend worrying about a possible hell in which you are punished for the very thing you thought would keep you out of hell?

Pascal's wager is utterly useless unless you have another argument to go with it. Even Pascal followed it up with an argument for Christianity.

If you don't know what i'm talking about, a good place to start is the 'Slender Suits' documentary on youtube. If you are of the faint of heart, I do not recommend it. That is all.

I'm 19 seconds in to the documentary (you got me curious) and I can already tell you half of why it's probably as scary as it is: the fuckin' scary music.

Though let's see how I feel in 40 minutes... Big Grin

EDIT: There's apparently several documentaries on youtube about Slenderman do I don't know if I'm watching "the right one"

EDIT 2: I'm watching this video and it's not scary at all.

Will move on to this one and see if it's scarier:

EDIT 3: Okay, the second video is way scarier. Big Grin

EDIT 4: Never mind. It's morphed into bad acting. :p

Edit 5: They're also cribbing lines from Batman Begins: From the second video at time stamp ~5:25: "Patients suffering delusional episodes often focus their paranoia on an external tormentor." Puh-lease. Word for word, exactly the same as what Doctor Crane says.
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.

The documentary says 'Slender Suits', you didn't watch the right one.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

I started seriously questioning whether I was believing in the correct denomination of Christianity in an effort to ensure I would not go to hell.

So my fear of hell directly led me unintentionally to atheism.

Biggest backfire ever! You lose religion.

People were arguing over the correct Christian doctrine two seconds after Paul created it. So now there's over 38,000 varieties to choose from. People can always start a new one.
