Since they don't produce those documents, they're obviously covering them up, which goes to prove the conspiracy to cover up alien contact and technology!

If you want to do conspiracy properly you have to make sure that you don't in any way understand the argument from ignorance fallacy.

Make sure your conclusion is based entirely on:
1 . Your own prejudices
2. What seems most interesting
3. What will allow you to feel smarter than all those people who are actually more intelligent than you.

Then make sure every new piece of information fits the narrative. E.g. Government offical says there are aliens = There are Aliens, Government offical says there are not aliens = There are Aliens.

The only reason why ancient aliens (in the sense of intelligent aliens that had visited and had been recorded by humans) is more plausible than Christianity is the key players of the former - intelligent extraterrestrials beings - is vastly more likely to exist, somewhere, than the key player of the other - god that fits the descriptiom of those who say god have revealed himself to them.

But other aspect of ancient aliens stories - visitation during historic times and were recognizably recorded as such by ancient humans - are on par in its demand upon gullibility as divine revelation.

Personally I reckon if there actually is anything to the sightings (military tests being most probable) then what gets pointed out is a mere distraction like a flash-bang while the real test occurs somewhat further away.
