If there was a God, would you hate him?

Years ago when I was in my teens I read the OT and after reading it all I could think was God is a blood thirsty psychopath. Reading the Bible helps seeing the truth and I think many readigfn this would become to Atheism

Abrahamic God? Hell no. No way am I that noble. I'd try to force myself to love him like everyone else. I'd rather spend my life defending his wrongdoings than suffering eternally. xP

He is rubbish. get it straight, God and allah are different beings. allah was the moon god of the old tribes of the Arabian peninsula. one of many gods they worshipped before given one choice. God as Christians view Him, is the creator of all. and whats so stuid or evil? he offers us eternal life for free?

He is rubbish. No they're not. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity worship the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Moses. That's why they're called the Abrahamic religions. He certainly doesn't offer eternal life for free either. Otherwise everyone would get into heaven regardless of anything they said or did, short of standing in front of the pearly gates and telling the guy you don't feel like going in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abrahamic_religions

Depends on what you mean by god. If you mean a being that created the world, but isn't omnipotent and just lets it be--probably not. The god of the OT--hell yes. The god of the NT, yeah unless the hell/salvation/not proving himself gig can be explained as cosmically necessary.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
It would be harder for me to hate a deistic god that just got the ball rolling and watched where it went. It's easier to hate someone for trying to take an active role in this world, repeatedly failing, and punishing us for not being perfect like him. Any redeeming qualities found in Yahweh are also found in the best of us.

I would certainly go to war against the god invented by man if he was real. Unfortunately, we are left with nearly all men to fight rather than just one super being.
