Alright. I suppose if the animal is losing it's friggin mind there may be another cause, but I'd wager against that possibility every time. Simply because of the odds.

That thing needs to be put down. I'd also test the kid for rabies, because that's just not something that should happen.

I love dogs like crazy. But if that was my kid I'd put a fucking shovel through that dogs face.
No way that dog wasn't put down.

At least the mom was actually paying attention to her kid. So hopefully even if the cat hadn't been there the dog wouldn't have done too much damage.
Also take note, that's not a pit bull.

And thanks for pointing out that it wasn't a pit bull.
As Cinjin stated earlier, the owner needs to take responsibility on this as well.
