Sleep Injuries... WTF?
#11
RE: Sleep Injuries... WTF?
I move around a ton in my sleep, I end up accidentally hitting stuff with my arms and feet as I roll about. Every now and then I wake up with sore feet or hands from them hitting my desk or chair. I think your wife might have noticed if you started spinning around in your sleep though.

I did get bit by something a few weeks ago and my ankle ended up pretty swollen and painful, so Bad Wolf could be right.

Did you dream you were playing baseball and foul a pitch off your foot?

That's me too. I wake up sore from pulled muscles. Sometimes my wife wakes up sore from my moving about.

Thanks everyone! I'm certain that I was not bitten by anything - no visible puncture or skin irritation. No funky dreams last night - slept pretty well. Didn't do anything strenuous yesterday. No bruising. Odd.

Update...

I woke up Friday in extreme pain and had pain all day - I didn't sleep too well Friday night.

I woke up Saturday still in pain and had pain most of the morning. I was able to manage the pain (but still felt it) using mind control/meditation, and the pain returned fully right before bed Saturday night. I had stabbing pains in my right foot and a new sensation of shooting pain coming from my foot and running up into my right calf. I did not sleep well.

Sunday morning I woke up with a leg/foot cramp - extremely painful. My wife went to church and I went into the garden to work (pain and all). Within 15 minutes of being in the garden I noticed that the pain was ebbing, and within 30 minutes the pain was entirely gone - it had left as suddenly as it came on.

I attribute my recovery to time, motion/movement, and holding good thoughts (plus being in the garden always heals me on some level). My wife came home from church and asked how my foot was. I told her that the pain was entirely gone and that I felt great. She was very happy that my suffering had ended, and she was delighted because she and the women in her bible study had prayed for my foot/leg to heal. She (my wife) attributes my recovery to Jesus intervening on my behalf.

Maybe a trapped nerve? Or an embolism in your leg?

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

How do you sleep? If on your side, consider holding a pillow between your thighs. Also I'd recommend a visit to a chiropractor.

I switch positions frequently throughout the night. Side, back, stomach, other side. I'm always conscious of turning as I rest and so I know I didn't hit anything. Either way, I'm 100% now.

My wife and I are no spring chickens and we're both having issues at night. Lately I wake up with my penis smelling shitty. At the same time my wife reports anal pain. So strange.
