Either that, or like my girlfriend, she knows better, but simply doesn't like the stigma that goes along with the word "atheist", and just picks a word that her parents are less likely to be hostile to.

I see your point but that pic isn't 100% true since an agnostic can be a theist.

It sounds nice when we think about going somewhere after death. We feel more relaxed about death (we as in some), but to me I do not believe in any god(s) nor do I think we have a higher power.
If we did have a god, I would wish for smarter people, but I think that is another fairy tale waiting to be told next.
