Because Google Didn't Work

RE: Because Google Didn't Work
If you want to hear mess, though, talk to someone from Georgia, Louisiana, or Florida. I bet Rhythm has horror stories about heat.

When I moved to Charlotte, I had never seen so many people wandering around half naked (and you didn't want most of them to be).

It's because where I lived in VA was one of the most affluent counties in the country. Most everyone had good central air and a car. Here in Charlotte, that wasn't the case. Most people were hardly clothed because they couldn't stand the feel of damp cloth on sweating skin.

I don't think there are any laws against it. Really it depends on the landlord. If he's the type to want access to your residence at any/all times then he won't allow it. If he's any type of reasonable, he will. I would simply chance out the lock and see how it goes. "I'm sorry. I didn't know I couldn't do that. I'll put the old one back on. Here's my notice." should work for smoothing over the rough spots.

Furnace? Fish tank? Gas mask? For any of these, if you have a model number you should be able to Google it. If not, your local Home Depot/Lowe's can identify the right filter for a furnace and usually describe how to replace it. Same for fish tanks and gas masks. You just need to identify the model number and visit the appropriate shop.

I've never known one that did.

This one I really can't be any help with. We have vertical or mini-blinds in all the windows.

Do I attempt learn to how to work a power drill or leave it up to people with eyesight?

Leave that to sighted people. Using a screw driver where your finger tips can help is one thing. Power drills can leave punctures. Be safe!

Leave it up to people with eyesight. I'd suggest that for all power tools that are designed to cut things. No routers, power saws, electric drills etc for you. The exceptions might be power screwdrivers (slow and not so dangerous) or a drill press which is much more controlled. But get some sighted instruction first.

For small jobs a hand drill is just fine if slower. Ditto a hand saw.

I guess it would depend on how bad you need a hole. In general though, I have to agree with thesummerqueen, especially considering power drills these days are high speed wrecking machines if they get away from you.
