Flunking accounting is not neccessarily a bad thing; if you think to mention it you'll never have to be treasurer of any club you join
You might be surprised how quickly you manage to outlive a good friend or two. It really sucks. Some of us have lost many more than just a few, it's the worst thing about getting old, it's different than relatives, your friends you pick and they can mean so much more than most of your relatives

What's a "real" man? I know a lot of men who know how to do a lot of shit on the computer, but not with tools. I know a lot of guys who can do crazy manual labor, but nothing overly mechanical or computer-y.
Don't depend on a man to do anything for you - learn to do it yourself.
Don't assume that anyone with a penis knows how to 'fix' things - frequently I knew or figured out how to fix things before the good ol' redneck I was dating. The metrosexual photographer I'm now living with knows more about programming, hacking, security, mechanical fixings, and good ol' spider killing than the gun-toting country boy.

If you have a friend that everyone else considers 'cheap', don't be like that. If no one you know is considered 'cheap', it's YOU and it's too late to change.

Very true. Most blokes I know are the same ...not too many old school "jacks" around anymore.

Define "cheap".
When I'm broke, I refuse to go anywhere. Is that "cheap?" I call it "practical."

My father in law has a piano in his place.... it's badly out of tune and he doesn't want to hire a professional tuner, because... expensive. Is he cheap? maybe, but he scored two daughters, both married and with children of their own, so there you go... life goes on.
Now, me... I'm using the power of youtube to learn how to tune that piano... well, I've already learned, downloaded an android app to help and only need the proper tools which I've already added to my wish list on amazon. For less than £20, we can get that old piano playing properly again. And I (we) will have learned to fix a new thing.
If you don't know something and google seems unable to help, try youtube!
